Terms of Use
Last updated: 24 September 2026
These terms are between you and 4B DIGITAL LTD and cover the GetCast app for Android TV and the website getcast.app. By installing or using GetCast you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
1. What GetCast is
GetCast lets you send your own videos, music, photos, documents, links and screen to a TV over your home network, watch your own live-TV playlist, and view your own network camera on the TV. It works with what you bring. GetCast does not provide channels, films, music, cameras or any other content.
2. Your licence
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on TVs you own or control, for your own non-commercial use. The app and this website, including the name, logo, designs and code, belong to 4B DIGITAL LTD or its licensors. You may not copy, sell, rent or redistribute the app, or remove notices from it, and you may not decompile or reverse-engineer it except where the law expressly allows that despite this restriction.
3. Your content and sources
- You are responsible for everything you send, play, add or connect, and you promise you have the right to use it.
- Only add playlists, guides and streams you are legally entitled to use. Do not use GetCast to access content without permission from its owner.
- We do not check, host or moderate your content, and we are not responsible for third-party services you connect. They have their own terms and privacy practices.
4. Acceptable use
Do not use GetCast to break the law or anyone's rights, to send unlawful, harmful or infringing material, to interfere with networks or devices you do not own, or to try to get around the PIN and other protections. Use the Baby Monitor only with cameras you own or have permission to view, and follow the laws on monitoring and recording where you live.
5. Baby Monitor and safety
The Baby Monitor shows a network camera on your TV as a convenience. It is not a medical, safety or security device and may stop working or lag because of your network, camera, TV or power. Never rely on it as the only way to look after a child or anyone who needs care.
6. Free service and changes
GetCast is currently free. We may change, add or remove features, and update or stop the app or website, at any time. If we ever offer paid features, the price and terms will be shown before you buy, and Google Play will handle the payment.
7. No promises about how it performs
To the fullest extent the law allows, GetCast and the website are provided "as is" and "as available". Playback depends on your TV, network and the media you send, and we cannot promise that it will work with every device, file or source, or without interruption or errors. This does not affect any rights you have under law that cannot be excluded.
8. Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. Subject to that, and to the fullest extent the law allows: we are not liable for loss of data, profits, business or goodwill, or for any indirect or consequential loss; and our total liability to you for all claims connected with GetCast is limited to £100. If you live in a place where the law does not allow some of these limits, they apply only as far as the law permits.
9. Ending
You can stop using GetCast at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or the law.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when the app changes or the law changes. We will change the date above. If you keep using GetCast after a change, you accept the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These terms, and any dispute connected with them, are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may also bring a claim in the courts of that country.
